The Jefferson County Fairgrounds offers indoor storage for your boat, auto or RV.

Storage is available from August 15 through July 15. (July 16 through August 14 is fair time!)

We use three of our unheated buildings for vehicle storage. They have dirt floors and remained locked.

Storage Agreement Terms

Vehicles are stored on a first-come, first-serve basis. Due to the State of Washington's tax laws, all vehicle storage is subject to sales tax. The current rate is 8.4% and will be added to the base rental rate for storage. All buildings used for storage are available beginning August 15. All stored items must be removed by July 15.

Contracts have to be completed and accepted prior to storage. Contracts are not transferable. If ownership of the stored item changes, a new contract must be arranged. Any modifications to this agreement must be done in writing by mutual consent of both parties.

Please call 24 hours prior to the time you want to bring vehicles in, or take them out, to ensure someone will be here to assist you. We can have maintenance staff available on weekends to assist —when prior arrangements have been made.

In consideration of the terms, conditions, and performance contained herein, the parties here to agree as follows:

No washing, painting, repairs or other work shall be done to said equipment while in storage.

The Storage term may be terminated by either party with one (1) week notice provided— however, no rent will be refunded for any period of two weeks or less.

Due to fire codes, ALL PORTABLE FUEL TANKS (propane, gas cans, etc.) must be removed from the equipment prior to storage.

The LESSEE shall be responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes, fees and/or assessments that may be levied. Taxes are not included in the rental rates.

The FAIR reserves the right to relocate equipment placed in storage as the FAIR deems reasonable and necessary.

The FAIR authorizes the LESSEE to store equipment in a designated building at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, Port Townsend,Washington. Said equipment shall be removed from the fairgrounds on or before the 15th day of July, following the initial date of this Agreement. Equipment not removed by this date may be removed by the FAIR at the sole expense of the LESSEE.

LESSEE expressly agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the FAIR and all of its officers, agents, employees, or otherwise, from all liability, loss or damage, including reasonable costs of defense that they may suffer as a result of claims, demands, actions, or damages to any and all persons, property, costs or judgment against the FAIR which may result from, arise out of, or are in any way connected with the storage agreement between the LESSEE and FAIR.

The FAIR shall have the right to place a possessor lien on any property of the LESSEE held in storage until all storage charges are paid in full.

Storage rental fees can be paid monthly or in advance, in accordance to the above schedule. The first month’s rental fee must be included with a completed agreement to ensure your space.
